Our Refugee Quran Student Empowerment Programme celebrates the resilience and talents of refugee children, providing them with opportunities to showcase their abilities and build self-confidence. Events like the Juz Ammah competition, featuring 20 remarkable young participants, create a platform for their growth and recognition.
Who It Helps
The programme instills a sense of belonging and purpose in refugee children, fostering their dreams and aspirations. It creates opportunities they may not have otherwise had, benefiting not only the children but their entire families. Their achievements often open doors to work experience, employment, and further education, paving the way for a brighter future.
This year, we introduced the Public Speaking Programme in collaboration with Khalila Lister from the Power of Voice Academy, where children recite and share their stories before live audiences. Additionally, our partnership with LittleHibba offers these children the chance to become published authors, writing inspiring stories of hope, healing, and guidance to touch the lives of others.
This initiative empowers children by celebrating their achievements and providing opportunities to shine. With the support of parents and teachers, participants engage in live Instagram auditions judged by figures like Imam Is’Haaq Jassat and Shaykh Ziyad Batha, participate in interviews with esteemed guests like MP Naz Shah and nasheed artist Illyas Mao, and perform live Quran recitations at charity dinners attended by over 300 guests.
