Amjad Akhtar is running the Manchester HALF MARATHON on 13th October 2024.
Please support him by donating to his fundraising page where he has teamed up with FRIENDS FOR YOU and aims to raise enough money to build FIVE HAND PUMPS and ONE BORE WELL in Maharashtra, India on behalf of loved ones who have passed away (Sadaqah Jariyah).
Each Hand Pump costs £150 and each Bore Well costs £630 and therefore the total target amount he is aiming to raise is £1360. Additional donations exceeding target will be used for other Sadaqah Jariyah donations on behalf of the deceased.
Please donate generously and let this be a form of Sadaqah Jariyah for you or a loved one.
Sadaqah Jariyah is a beautiful concept in Islam as it is the belief that deeds donated in this form possess the ability to earn reward for the donor after they have passed from this life.
So give Sadaqah Jariyah for yourself but also on behalf of your loved ones that have now passed away.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seven deeds of a servant continue to be rewarded after his death while he is in his grave: knowledge to be learned, constructing a canal, digging a well, planting a date-palm tree, building a mosque, handing down a written copy of the Quran, and leaving a righteous child who seeks forgiveness for him after his death.” – Source: Musnad al-Bazzār 2773
