Neena's Ramadan Fundraiser for Malawi is dedicated to helping the people of Malawi during this blessed month of Ramadan. With a target of £1000, the fundraiser aims to provide essential support, including food and mattresses, to people in need. For just £1, you can provide a meal, which includes rice, vegetables, and relish, for one person. Our goal is to raise funds to feed 500+ people. Additionally, we aim to provide beds for those in need, with £30 covering the cost of a single mattress and £50 for a double mattress.

Fidya Project

Fidya is a charitable donation given by those who cannot fast during Ramadan due to illness, pregnancy, old age, or other valid reasons. In Islam, Fidya serves as a way to compensate for missed fasts while helping those in need. Each Fidya donation provides two meals for every fast missed, offering relief to those struggling with food insecurity. If you are unable to make up your fasts, paying Fidya is a meaningful way to give back. Who can pay Fidya? Those unable to fast due to chronic or short-term illness, pregnancy, old age, or medical conditions requiring regular medication. How is Fidya paid? Fidya can be given as money or food, ensuring that two meals are provided for each missed fast. When should Fidya be paid? It should be paid during Ramadan if fasting is not possible and cannot be made up later.

Malawi Emergency Food Appeal

We are seeking your support in providing food to our brothers and sisters in Malawi. The current situation in some areas is extremely dire. Just last week two funerals took place of residents who sadly passed away due to hunger & malnourished. Some have resorted to eating potentially poisonous buffalo beans that have to be cooked 15 times to reduce the risk of poisoning.

It's Farming Season!

For just £25, you can provide a household farmer with a 20kg Farmer’s Pack containing fertilizers and seeds. This essential support helps them cultivate crops and sustain their families with food for an entire year, fostering self-sufficiency and reducing dependency on aid. A single pack yields approximately 500 kg of maize, feeding a family of four two meals a day for 10 months. The aim is to raise £500 on the Pocket app by the end of November so that we can support 20 farmers and their families. Note: Initial target of £250 was reached so target amount was extended out.
