Hi, I’m Freedom Pigott, the founder of Freedom Development Foundation (FDF). Creating FDF has given me the opportunity to make a tangible, on-the-ground impact and has brought a deep sense of purpose to my life. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about knowing that the work we do is contributing to sustainable change that will benefit generations to come. It’s seen in the smiles of those now accessing clean water, the flourishing farms that were once struggling, and the security that comes from knowing food and support are always available. Our Vision
At the Freedom Development Foundation, our goal is to empower individuals by providing them with the tools and resources they need to break free from the cycles of poverty. We aim to replace struggle with hope, offering a pathway towards a better future filled with opportunity and relief. The Community Breadmill Initiative: Breaking Bread, Changing Lives.
The Community Breadmill Initiative: Breaking Bread, Changing Lives. Across Africa, countless families struggle to access fresh, affordable bread—a staple that should be within everyone’s reach. Our Community Breadmill Initiative is changing that, one loaf at a time. By establishing locally run breadmills, we are empowering communities with sustainable solutions, creating jobs, and ensuring that nutritious, freshly baked bread is available to all. This initiative is more than just about food; it's about economic independence, self-sufficiency, and dignity. Through this campaign, we are: 🍞 Building breadmills in key locations to serve those in need. 👩🏾🍳 Creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and families. 🌍 Strengthening food security while reducing reliance on expensive imports. Just as we’ve worked to restore dignity through initiatives like Resole, ensuring access to shoes for all, we are now tackling another fundamental need—access to affordable, fresh bread. Join us in breaking bread and changing lives. Every contribution fuels a movement of community-led resilience and nourishment. Are you ready to break bread with Freedom Development Foundation?

DONATE🌿 In Loving Memory of Julia Clifford – Give Water, Give Freedom 💧
Julia was an incredible woman who dedicated over 30 years of service to the Houses of Parliament, working in the Members' Chamber and serving MPs and Prime Ministers with unwavering dedication. Her kindness, hard work, and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. In recognition of her incredible service, the Members' Tea Room was renamed Julia’s Tea Room, and a plaque now stands in her honour—a true testament to a woman who was simply herself every day and loved by all. Julia’s life was sadly cut short after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Though she won that fight, she later contracted COVID-19 and, despite her immense strength and determination, was unable to overcome it. She was a pillar of her family, a friend to many, and she will forever be missed. To honour her incredible legacy of kindness and service, we are raising funds to build a solar-powered water well in her memory. This well will provide lifesaving clean water** to communities in need, reflecting Julia’s lifelong dedication to helping others. 💙 Why This Matters: ✅ Provides safe, clean drinking water to those in need ✅ Reduces waterborne diseases and improves health ✅ Empowers children with education by eliminating long walks for water ✅ Strengthens local economies by supporting businesses and agriculture ✅ Offers a continuous charity in her name
