To adhere to this policy, we cover our overheads through alternative means. These include contributions from our trustees, profits from offline and online sales e.g. eBay and our website, and Gift Aid, which is a 25% bonus on eligible donations from UK taxpayers. We also support orphans, widows, and disadvantaged individuals through sponsorships, marriage assistance, debt settlement, and Qurbani programs. The name “Seven Spikes” is inspired by the Qur’anic verse in Surah al-Baqarah (2:261), which compares those who spend in the way of Allah to a single grain that grows into seven spikes, each with a hundred grains symbolizing a reward multiplied by seven hundred or more. This is further emphasized by a Hadith, where the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) described Allah nurturing even the smallest charity until it grows as large as a mountain. Thus, “Seven Spikes” represents the incredible multiplication of rewards for acts of charity and the profound impact your giving can have, both spiritually and materially.
